:p Yee Haw, we received our shipment finally. These 2008s will not disappoint. I cannot keep my eyes off our assembled 450s when I walk through our showroom. Lots of niceties. We will have a demo 450 and 550 for when weather permits. Expecting some ice and snow. You know, people keep talking about 09s, but I have to say, I really like the tried and true Bergs and now they are nicer than ever.

08 v09

It does beg the question: what would be the benefit of an 08 over an 09. Surely with the same rider the 09 will smoke the 08???? maybe the old ones are better for some trial riding as you can add the extra fuel under the seat and tank holds 9 litres if you want. Some may like the kick starter as back up, but if the 09 handles as good as it is suggested.....and the 08's struggle to keep up. well you would have to go09 would you not????/

Well, I guess maybe you are one of the few riders world-wide, Joakim, fe600, who else?, that are able to ride an '08 to it's complete limits. :D

Who's to say the 09 will smoke anything? No one even knows yet. If I needed a new Husaberg, I wouldn't hesitate to buy an '08. It has a lot going for it, mainly that it is as good as any current bike in it's class and you won't have to worry about the bike being an impediment to your blazing speed. It will also be the last of the Husabergs that still had some of the design elements of the original Husaberg, like the frame being the airbox.

Ok, so you wait until '09. Then the 2010 are rumored to be way cooler. Ok, wait until 2010. Repeat every year, and you have classic paralysis by analysis. Meanwhile the Apocalypse came and you screwed youself out a bunch of riding on a cool bike.

LOL

I saw the 08 on Sat @ NSMAN's place. This thing is beautiful!
It's got nice bits and pieces and the fit and finish was immaculate.

However, it didn't have a headlight.

Yes, but I believe the harness is there for one.

Yes, aside from the rear harness (as usual) the important stuff if still there.

what about the bmw

Hi ok, some good points about the 08, but I also note the BMW has the crank central and looks competitive. Berg are talking about the centralised mass of their new design being revolutionary and that seems to mean much easy to ride quicker which is an advantage for any rider?? It would be interesting perhaps to get the last of the old design and sit back and watch for a year and see what happens?

Hey Gazza, I agree they look beautiful! I take it you are a dealer in WA? Good to see you getting behind the Bergs, we need more good dealers like you!! I have bought my last 2 from Bendigo as our dealer here is Tassie pushes the KTM's.
What do you think will happen with the 08's? Now that everyone seems to be waiting for the new 09's? And then you will get everyone "waiting" to see how they perform? haha

uote="Gazza"]Well the '08 is pretty good in the flesh, better than I thought.

Soon to be transformed into a Rallye bike for the Condo 750 here in Australia at Easter 2008,
