Hello all, pretty new here from Bellevue, ID, first post. I have an 04 Husaberg fe550 e that I bought from my dad, it only has 10.2 hours and 122 miles on it.

I need to sell it due to vehicle being totaled, need money for down payment on vehicle, not to mention having a kid on the way.

Someone told me they thought it was worth $5,000, what do you guys think?

i think you'd have a very difficult time getting 5k for it. I love my bergs, but have no illusion they are worth 5k

I'd have to agree, not worth $5000.

Here's one in Idaho Falls 'asking' $2995, With your low hours, you may get $2500 but I'd say closer to $2000 up here in the PNW.

I agree with the previous posts. It's a shame because it's a lot of motorcycle but it's the reality of the situation.

The RFS KTM's of the era fetch a premium, especially when plated, while the better performing (IMO) Bergs aren't embraced with near the same enthusiasm due to the older pre-'04 model's reliability issues. KTM's also have much better aftermarket support. It's bad if you have one to sell, and good if you're looking to buy.

They seem to ask crazy money for plated 70 degree bikes in Ca.:dontknow:

Indeed, in California the plate is a significant value boost.

I appreciate all the responses. It is unfortunate that it's not as valued as the KTMs, it's a phenomenal bike. I figured $5,000 was too high, I was thinking $2,500 to $3,000. I'll try $3,000 and see what happens.

Hopefully in a couple years I'll be looking at an 09 fe570 or similar.

Once again, thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it.

As mentioned, here in Ca. a plate is a big deal. And it seems like there are a lot better deals in the surrounding states. That is lower prices.
8 months ago I got $4600 for my plated 05 FE650. And about a year ago I ended up settling for $2200 for my 05 green sticker FE 650 . At least I sold it in stripped down form completely stock, no guards or off road equipment.
