04 FE650e overheating

Just an update,
I took the 650 out for a 22 mile ride with no overheating :D . The only thing different this time was that I added a cooler to the lower radiator hose. I dont know if this is the cure, but the price was right. It is a 6-8" pipe with fins cut in it made out of billet aluminum. I found it on ebay, the cost was $25.00 delivered. They claim a 10-20F drop in coolant temp. I may put one in the upper hose as well. I figured for $25.00 I cant go wrong. Now it may be the motor is beginning to loosen up and I changed my riding habits a little that may have helped as well, but I dont think so.
There are a few guy's selling these things on ebay, it would be great to have someone else try one and see what results they get.

For what it may be worth:
I have used such devices to splice coolant hose. I have yet to witness a decrease in temperature as a result.
Sincerely,
Dale

2 of my Ford trucks have small coolers similar in size for the oil filter. If they were not effective, Ford wouldn't waste their money installing them on the trucks.

Took it over half throttle. Maybe someone at the "Force" ride can show me where second gear is. I still have not got used to that brake pedal being on the left side with the kicker
