Holy crap, that thing looks huge!
 If fill it all the way up, it probably makes the bike weigh was much as the rest of the 4T enduro bikes (with stock tanks), but of course you will have more fuel range.
All kidding aside, it looks like a great part and will make for many happy owners (and it should sell well to). Great job BOSS, "you the man".

Looks real nice Rick! Kudos for pulling this off buddy. 8) That tank is gonna make a lot of berg riders very happy for sure.

this is what it is all about ...

talk the talk and walk the walk , this has just been completed by BOSS !!

Good job BOSS. A 3.4 gallon tank will be a welcome addition to my garage...

Way to go!

looks the cats arse... No flames, WTF...haha. I am really going to have work the wife on this one...

What about the graphics? Will a set of '07 stickers work? I happen to like the flames..

Hey Boss

Good job! Also good job with getting all of the colors that it will be available in, I think that should make everyone happy!!!

Don

Boss, not wanting to appear negative, but how come only an extra 2+bit litres over the standard 10.5 L tank ??, we can get that extra capacity by using the under seat tank, I was hoping for something more like 15-17 litres to make it really useful. Is there anything planned larger than 3.4 gals ??

What stock Husaberg tank holds 10.5 liters? That's nearly 2.8 gallons. I can barely squeeze 2 gallons into mine. The specifications in the factory manual list the tank as being 9 liter capacity. The aftermarket tank that Clarke is producing for Husaberg is over a one gallon improvement over stock.

I am sure that the Husaberg tank, being essentially split in the middle because of the air intake system, was a huge design challenge in regards to an oversize tank. I think with the physical limitations presented, the new tank came out about as good as could be expected.

The 3.4 gallon capacity will be enough to extend the range out to a sufficient level for most types of riding or racing. That capacity is right around all the other aftermarket tanks made for all the other brands of bikes as well. It isn't intended to make a Husaberg an instant rally bike.

The graphics would bubble and peel in short order.

If you take a razor knife and put slits in the graphics they will stick. I've layed them out with a knife and ruler. It works great.

I guess you do see some graphics manufactured like that. But i did not think that it helped a whole lot. The graphics still seem to come off way before they should.

All the current stock FE's here in Australia are 10.5 litres, thats also whats quoted on www.husaberg.com
