(sorry) Fuel tank capacity

I'd really like to get a FS650 for street riding, but I would *really* need atleast a 3.5 gallon capacity. I understand that there are no aftermarket tanks available for the Husa's. What are my options? I've read some posts already....

How much capacity can I get with heat gunning the stock tank?

Will *any* other make and model supermoto tank work with slight modification? I'd be willing to cut and plastic weld....

Regarding the gallon underseat tank... do I have to fill this up seperately? Taking the seat off each time? Or is it a completely trouble free unit that I can just ignore and be happy I have an extra gallon magically?

I came across this Alu side panel tank the other day. Dont know how much it holds but looks kind of neat I think. Just make sure not to fall on the RIGHT hand side

Nice indeed. Who makes those? Omero?
Nope, some german guy, "Künzte".

Search for "mad mäxla" and you will probably find more cool/crazy stuff.

I tried to do business with Mecasystem and although I did speak the lingo it did not go too far.

I think I might just be happier getting another sportbike...

I'm sure the Husabergs are much more fun while you have gas, but my riding doesn't allow me to stop every 70 miles. I wish there was a place to buy that KTM tank where I didn't have to phone in an order in French...

Should I send Husaberg an E-mail detailing why I didn't purchase their product? You think it would help at all with the gas tank issue?

Couldn't hurt.

Omero in Italy makes large tanks for the Husaberg, it's going to cost you 500 euros.

I saw a smaller Omero tank and they seem to be pretty well done.

I already chatted with this fellow and invited him over to this site.

He told me they were made by Olle Ohlsson Racing in Sweden, who does not have any more. I wonder, since he already had the mold made, if he could make a few more.

He had the mold and didn't use it. That unbelievable. What a past business. The demand exist.

Maybe it would be worthwhile to convince an aftermarket tank mfr to buy this guys old mold for little to nothing?

Brazilian Side panel tank

Hi Everybody,

My mechanic in Brazil produced a side panel tank for my 2006 Husaberg FE550, it allows 4 liters of and worked well in the last race.
See Pictures below
