Adjustable fork angle?

Hi
I just bought a 501 Force 2005. I´ve heard, that it might have an adjustable fork angle. Is that true, how can i see it on the fork, and how can i adjust?

I had a KTM 450 EXC before, and the BERG dies much easier in the low rpm area - can i change that?

I can´t start the bike with E-start when it´s cold. When it´s warm, i can start, but rather slow. Any ideas??

You should be able to change the angle of the bars by untightening the screws on the top clamp.

Look at video #2, at around 4:52.

Regarding the 450 EXC vs your Berg, your KTM may have been geared specifically for the tight stuff. What is your current final ratio on the Berg? You may want to change the counter spracket on your Berg to make it more fit for the tight stuff, also maybe reduce your sag a bit.

Also it's not normal that an 05 does not e-start cold but not abnormal. Start by checking your jetting.

six days

first thing-cut those flaming breather pipes from under yer bike! cut 'em level with the swing arm and split the ends open up to 1". watch also that they don't melt onto the centre pipe...

secondly, your hesitancy is the pilot screw so turn out 1/2 turn. if it's a keihin it's the screw right under the belly of the carb. if it's a dell orto you turn the smaller screw.

that will stop it dying. there's nothing wrong widya bike!

as far as the fork angle goes. no you've been sold a pup my friend  . what you may be able to do is adjust the steering stem and turn it so that you lengthen the trail or shorten it but quite frankly mate, if you have to ask-you ain't ready to play with it!

as far as i'm aware it's a KTM '-05 thing and that we at husey haven't got it yet!

regards

Taffy

i think the 2005/06 KTM SX models have adjustable offset from 18-20mm via a reversible/offset flange on the steering tube.

Have Fun
