3L of engine oil in a Husaberg 2008!!!

This is really great news fellas. I have a way to increase oil capacity of my Husabergs to about 3 liters. Wim Dercs is racing Husaberg side cars in Nederland and he builds from scratch an oil filter housing with attachment to hook up cooler or what I'll be doing external large spin on filter under the seat. I'll install 2 one way check valves in lines to prevent oil drain back. Filter holds about a liter of oil. There are many different filters to choose from. Many different micron ratings as well. I'm going to use popular generic filter housing available on ebay. Original filter will be used as well. Second I'll make wet ignition as per Bushmecanic. This adds another liter give or take. Total around 3 liters!!! And better filtration. Lastly I'll bump up oil pressure, by installing stronger pressure relief spring in regulator. This should improve reliability substantially. Also install mini pressure gauge. Here is Wim Dercs emeil [email protected] here are 3 adapters that I got from Wim Derks. I have his permission to share his information. 53 euro each. All 3 of my Bergs will be updated. Husaberg exclusivity and power with Honda longevity here we come. This is part of 1000 engine hors before major overhaul.

One check valve is all that's required. Two won't hurt anything. Pressure will be increased as well.

Why bother. ?

I am more interested in how much moterex costs in your country. It's time to talk about the best VALUE oil again. Some countries are paying 120 dollars for this stuff!!!!!

More oil is good for engine longevity. As well as higher pressure. Factory set is a bit low.

Pictures. Imagine stainless steel braded hoses connecting it all.

Improving weak(?) points is always good. Does Wim Dercs tell that perfomance of oil pump is good enough? Obvisously he is racing for years so he should have some experience.

Years ago the JBS guy was improving all parts - at least as a project.
See pic of his oil pump

Seems that he's very busy. Slow to respond now to my messenger. I didn't ask about oil pump. He does 102mm piston and liner. But didn't answer me how much. I'll ask him about oil pump.

Sorry polska JBS haven't made parts for 'bergs for years, doubt they will even answer your emails. I have a couple of their oil pumps. I think bushmechanic used a KTM impellor and made a cap to fit?

Yes I know about Jbs. But I think Win Derks is someone else? Independent, no? He hasn't answered me yet about oil pump. Perhaps somebody from Nederland could get in touch with him? Anyone racing sidecars?

Is the oil cooler at your avatar custom made?
I am trying to find one about 20x10cm to install it at the same place.

Was chatting with Wim Derks. Filter covers will be in about two weeks. 102mm pistons in about two months. They don't use upgraded oil pumps. Just coolers and something else that l couldn't understand about openong up cases carters.

So it is confirmed, filter covers have 12mm metric thread. I might be installing banjo style hose ends. Like this. Or there is enough material to drill and tap 1/4inch npt. Then check valves can go right there. Otherwise check valves would go at the other end, at the filter head.

Has anyone considered instead of running the oil feed in and out of the filter housing adapter but to make the return pipe feed oil to the head/valve cover to feed the camshaft extra oil?
