Not sure the proper term for it, but is the lowest section of the fork removable? And if so, how? I would like to change from a radial to axial brake mount and have the other type on another set of forks if it's possible to change without changing the whole lower section and having the forks apart.

Trying to install a fuel level sensor on my berg and ran into a problem removing the middle bolts of the subframe all other bolts came off easily. Noticed that the middle bolts are both connected and could remove the left side but not the right. Can anyone help? #noob
