Hi
Got the niggly suspected ignition fault fixed with me 99 electric start 400 enduro and just as it was running ok, the bloody thing exploded....
Aaaagh..........
Suspected broken piston and/or conrod, though I s'pose the first goes automatically with the second thinking about it -...
I have a 1999 FE501E the stator went bad so we replaced it. Stator part #250202-01 installed it like manual say's TDC comp. stroke line up mark on stator with mark on fly wheel, right mark for electrick start that is what we have left for kick start with a dot in center. When I check timing with...
I have read some of the posts regarding the SEM ignition system. I have a FE501-02 with SEM ignition. Last year i had to replace the stator and "flywheel" because of a failure in the charging coil. Everything has worked fine until a a week ago when the bike suddenly stopped and was impossible to...

Hi, recently bought a bike, is 04 450FE. It came with a gizmo that was reputed to alter the ignition curve to switch between low end torque and top end power. Don't know if anyone is familiar with such a device.
Could anyone help me with a wiring diagram or point me in the direction of...
I have just got back on a berg after a brief 2 smoke stint the first thing i have noticed is the lack of being able to get the power down in slippy conditions like hill climbing and off cambers compared to a 2 smoke the power seems to aggressive and wheel spin is innevitable.I am looking at...
I have a question concerning ignition coil. On e-bay i have found ignition coil from the model 501 Fe, my question is if it will be compatible with Husa 600 Fe?
Daniel
I just purchased an '02 FE 400E, when I switch it between hi and low ignition modes I really can't tell a difference in it. Is this normal or could something be wrong with my switch?
Thanks
I made a billet ignition cover with two 1/2-14 NPT threaded holes to do the ignition modification. I also add an O-ring to seal better and I add an extra 1/4 of an inch to make room for my fly wheel weight.
I was wondering if there is an intertest for people wanting one of these covers for...
I am messing with the idea of retrofitting a japanese( I hope that is not a dirty word) ignition for older Bergs to replace the SEM at time of failure. My idea would involve making up a complete package, stator, flywheel, wiring and instructions all in one kit. I am just getting started with...
not really comfortable with back lights and stuff like that so i was wodering how folk best do their ignition timing?
i prefer a strobe
but at what revs do you check when you don't have a revcounter?
which position for the high/low switch?
i have re-marked the crank 7 degrees in...
My 98 husaberg fe501e feels about as fast as my 91 Husqvarna WMX125. I have fiddled around with the carb a bit and it is much better than when I bought it. But it still feels kinda laggy. I haven't taken a compression test, but sometimes I have to stand with all my weight on the kick starter to...
has anyone any idea why my 95 fe 600 ignition stator screws keeps on loosening?? it happened twice before even though i use loctite 255, i have been lucky so far and did not have to buy a new stator.
Hey all,
I posted this in the section about my aux tank install, but I don't think many have seen that last bit of info I posted about my relocation of the ignition....so here is a little repeat. Hope this helps a few more people with the aux tank:
-----------------------------------------...
checked the TDC on mine again tonight and as told before-the TDC marks as supplied on the flywheel are out but did i say 13 degrees out!!!!
Jesus H!!!!
so i rescribed the marks tonight and have provisionally set the ignition again-static. the book says that the ignition should be set with...
somone correct me if im wrong but am i not suppose to hae a hi lo ignition switch on my 99 berg :? i have a australasian dirt bike magazine here from 99 doing a thing on it and they said it has one has myn been removed or was it brought out later in 99 cause myn is a early 99 model

Hi,
I have heard people saying that you can modify the -02 ignition module/coil and get better low rpm performance/torque. Does anyone know anything about this?
Dale,
I am curious as to why 4 stroke motorcycle engines use what is basically a 2 stroke ignition? In automobiles, the ignition only sends a spark on the compression stroke. In motorcycles, we get a spark every revolution of the crank. So we get a spark during the intake cycle, since the...
