    2001 FE650 no spark.

    was running fine until the cam chain broke. replaced cam chain, sprocket, tensioner and blade. all reassembled, now no spark. I did the orange wire disconnect test, stator tested spot on (red to black=3043, green to black=165) disconnected all but red, black and green. any ideas?? am i missing...

    cam timing, no marks..... FE650

    so, i took part the engine without checking for timing marks on the crank gear and the balancer shaft gear. i've tried a couple of combinations with no success. crank at TDC, balancer at BDC, cam sprocket marks horizontal. 3/4 of a rev and the piston touches the valves.
