I burned a hole thru my pants on the first ride on my 08 FE450 :( . I would like to wrap my pipe to keep the heat off my leg/boot and the carb. I've never wrapped a pipe and was wondering how to do it right. Also if you leave it on long will it destroy the finish?

I adjusted my valves last night. It was mainly a check as they were not far off. Yes 1/6 is near a perfect .12. Gage goes in there nice. I set the exhaust at 1/5 or close to it. I marked 1/6 and 1/4 to get a visual on 1/5. Then set 1/5 right in the middle. Pollo

I bought the carbon fiber heat shields from E-Line. :P I m waiting for delivery. There's always burnt gear and boot black marks on my exhaust. These should take care of that. Maybe my knuckles can rub on them instead of sizzling on the pipe when I check engine oil . I wear the biggest gloves...

As you can see in the picture, one of the stainless exhaust can straps broke on my friend's 2000 Berg FC501. Problem is, we thought the can was stock. But, after talking with MotoXotica, we discovered it's not a stock muffler. Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this can?? Thanks!!
