Thinking of doing the conversion from a Dellorto carb to a Keihin, anyone have thoughts on this job? Which would really be a better carb and be easier to start and runability?? Thoughts?? Advise on issues please....Thanks
Trying to set the float level on my Dellorto, from what I have read the metal should be parallel to the gasket surface. Is this when the needle is seated? What is the tab you see in the picture with the red arrow is this suppose to be making contact with the needle? This is how I found the tab...
I have my bike for a few months and today i was fiddling around the carb and noticed that my Dellorto PHM doesn't have accelerator pump. I talked to the local bike mechanic that rode Husaberg some time ago and he had a couple of similar Dellortos laying in garage and they all have accelerator...
Hello, I found on this forum many info about dellorto carburators. Because there aren't many fora where people have knowledge about dellorto carbs, Ill give it a try here.
I have a KTM LC4 600(`94) with a 625cc cilinder(2001) on it but I have a hard time to jet it right
I've got these...
Dear UHE,
I'm thinking to change the Dellorto carburator in my FE501e '02.
Please, Which Keihim is better, the FCR-MX39 or FCR-MX41 :?:
In advance thanks a lot for your kind suggestions.
Excuse my ignorance if this is covered somewhere but I cant find it.
I am after identification of the 2 air bleeds that are drilled when moding the Dellorto.
I have made my 40 slide into a 45 and now I want to try the rest of the changes.
Thanks

Hi there carburator-wizards.
I've been struggling with my -02 fe650's carburattor for a quite long time. Seems like it just refuses to run well. no matter what i do, it seems to run too rich.
the jetting is:
pilot jet: 33
main jet: 195
needle: k51 2nd clip from the top
needle jet: dr...
Hi all, I know I am not talking Husaberg but I believe the KTM and Husaberg share some similar tech and so far I have not gotten any decent info from anywhere else regarding the Dellorto.
I have a 97 KTM620 super comp. It comes stock with the Dellorto PHM 40 and the following jets:
Main...
Hello,
Because the Dellorto importer didn't had the choke jet #40 on their part list, I ordered one from the Husaberg dealer as a normal Husaberg part. This choke jet is shorter than the original, #45, and doesn't terminate at the bottom hole of the float bowl but ends about halfway. Which...
To all the Dellorto gurus out there
I've got a couple of problems with mine.
Problem 1.
The idle speed stays 5/600 rpm higher for a few seconds after it's been revved.
Eg. The bike idles at a nice pace then when you ride or rev it and wind off the throttle the revs will stay up a bit...
Recently sold my 03 FE400 only to buy another. This one came fitted with a Big Gunn muffler which when repacked although a little loud wasn't to bad and has better power noticeably down low. I removed all the electric start gear as I couldn't get it right with my last one and they start so easy...
I ordered floats for my FE600E 3 months ago Husaberg part #ph25016801 and they are on back order until who know when. Dellortos part # is 15760.3 float single 4g. Any idea where I can track this part down. I would greatly appreciate it.

Needle - K51

Hi there,
I have posted this same question in another forum section, but dealers & distributers may be a better place....
My year 2000 FC600 had the choke lever mounted directly onto the carb (Dell'Orto) and the lever was virtually impossible to reach as it was wedged right up beteween the...
I've got a drippy Dellorto, there's fuel dripping out of one of the overflow hoses. Anyone got a suggestion as what may be the cause of this?
Thanks, Christof.

I'm finding that after riding through a lot of water, i loose my tickover. So i screw the idle adjustment screw in a bit, but then it struggles to start off the button and generally requires fiddling with the mixture screw..... However, if it were dry, the...
old mate of mine has a fe600 96 with the dellorto carby.
he is having carby problems he thinks,he wanted to check the float level to make sure that is right to start with, but we can't find what its suppose to be , anyone know.i've checked the owners doc ,downloaded 1999 workshop manual but no...
I have an 02 501 with the Dellorto. It has worked well for me to this point. The bike runs and starts fine. The only complaints I really have is the throttle seems to hang a little sometimes. I do not mean the throttle cable. The throttle snaps back quickly when you twist it, it just seems to...
