Hey all. Just doing my valves on the FE570. I took the cam out but the rockers wouldn’t fall back far enough to access the shims. The manual says “raise the rockers” and I remember distinctly the last time I adjusted valves I could roll them back all the way. I think. This time the intake rocker...
Hey just wondering if anyone could give me some info on getting the motor to top dead Center to adjust the valves. This is my first time checking valves so any info would be greatly appreciated. I got rad and valve covers off now just need to figure out how to properly get TDC?? My bike is a...
Hi all, just putting a new rear sprocket and chain on the berg.
How far forward do I want the wheel with a brand new chain on?

Any advice appreciated

Hi all, school me on adjusting the clutch on my new to me FS570.
I recently picked it up from a trustworthy source who I believe is fairly mechanically inclined. It's been too cold to ride until recently (Canada), so I wasn't able to really test ride it when I bought it. Anyway, after riding...
Hey everyone,
I adjusted the valves on my 1994 FC501 today and hooked everything up to try and start it. (I bought this bike in nonrunning condition and haven't had it started) I first put the bike in TDC and verified that the piston was at its highest point with a dial indicator. A mark...
Hi.
I checked my valves today , Valves measured at 6 Degrees C :inlet 0,07mm. exhaust : 0,09mm. I know they should be measured at 20 degrees C, but is this okey considering the temperature? Or will the clerance be less if the temperature is 20 degress?
Hey guys im new to this site, and i have searched for valve adjustment and found a good post but it didnt work for me:P
I know i have to get the piston at top before i can adjust them, i put the bike in 6th gear and turned the wheel to the piston was at top and the norwegian husaberg dealer...
Hi guys,
I picked up a brand new 390 several weeks ago and have been finding that after 10 minutes of riding (once fully warmed up?) the idle is much much faster than it normally is after starting.
I have identified the idle speed adjustment knob and confirmed it's not pulled out. Also, i did...
Hi, I was hoping someone would walk me through how to adjust the valves on a 650. It is having a bit of a ticking sound when fully warmed(typical valve sound i guess). I am specifically interested in the "TURNing" method, since it seems to me that it's hard to get an accurate measurement ,cause...
Several months ago I posted about my 98 FE400e locking up with a THUNK. I haven't had the time to dive into it until this past weekend. Here's what I found:
One of the intake valve adjustment bolts broke. I found the end that pushes the valve, but the bolt is just plain gone. I've pulled...
Hello everyone,
Hope you're all in good health!
I have a 2000 501 FE. A few days ago I decided it was time to adjust the valves and so I did. Anyway, before I played with the valves the bike will start first or second kick, no problem, and will take a few attempts before it would start using...
Formally husaberg rider (FE 390),now sipping orange aid, trying to pretend it still looks blue  Have a 2010 exc 300 Ilike to ride as difficult terrain as I can find, without braking my neck,I am not interested in blatting across paddocks or open trails much.I have done suspension and set...
Hi everyone.
My first valve check was done by the dealer but its time for #2 and I want to do it myself. I have looked through 7 different threads on this site so pretty comfortable with the 1/6 method.
What i did not find here or in any of the manuals is the torque setting for the valve cover...
Is there a trick to adjusting the sag, without taking apart the back half of the bike? I just don't see any way to get to the collar on the spring? Thanks for the help!
Hey all,
I checked my valves last week and the intake were in spec, but both my exhaust valves were pretty tight, either right at the limit or just a bit past. Is this type of adjustment normal for such a low hour bike? Should I make sure to adjust it right away?
I know that is written in the DOC how to do it,but i cant understand it  .
For the start ,my complete clutch is taken out and so are cams and timing chain.
So first put the engine on TDC ,looking at the mark on ignition timing (and checking by plug hole)
Marks on gear wheels should be one...
