I've heard that previous models have had some issues with conrods and a weaker bottom end. Is it the same for the 2006? And is the stroke the only difference between the 450 and 550? How many hours should i expect from the bottom end?

Hi all I'm new to the world of husaberg and have just purchased a 2004 fe 550. I'm having trouble with the starter, it just weres over on the starter motor and wont start. I fitted a brand new battery hoping it would help but hasn't. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve
