Year Model Indicators?

Hello all,

I am new to these forums and new to the Husaberg line. I have for all intents and purposes "inherited" what is supposed to be a 1996 FE 501 but would like to confirm this information in order to find a few bits for the bike. Namely a USFS silencer end cap.

I'd appreciate greatly any advice you could give a complete 'berg newb. I am happy to snap some pics if some of you could tell from a photo.

Maddel, thank you for the link but after looking through the galleries here I began to suspect it was a '97 or '98 based on the frame color. I then found the same letter code listed on that page with a vendor on ebay to determine it is a "V" which is a '97. I was actually coming back to this thread to post that I found it when I saw your post. Again, many thanks and I will bookmark that page since it appears there is a lot to be learned from it.
