Worn intake valves seats on FE400.. Suggestions?

Hi all,

I bought a 2nd hand FE400 and found that the intake valves are tuliped..
From what I derived reading though posts, I need to buy a pair of intake valves from KTM.
Would anyone know which size/part number I should get for the FE 400 head?

I will also need a pair of valve seats, even though I read somewhere that the existing ones can be ground down for the new valves?? If the seats are not expensive, I'd like to buy them however. Not sure how easy it is to take the old ones out/press the new ones in.

Should I go for Husaberg OEM? And will they need any grinding after fitting them with the new valves?

Many thanks in advance

your dealer can find you the 35mm inlets, the seats will be fine, it's sometimes the guides that wear. all you need do is have the seatys lightly cut. new seats are something stupid like £500 each so you go figure what you need to do.

Hi Taffy,

Do you mean my KTM dealer? And if yes, from which bike?
Or should I order the valves from Husaberg?

Cheers
