Had a typical follower bearing failure in my -02 650 fe berg and found out that the needles in the bearing have "curved" the inner part of the follower. Is this dangerous? How worn can the followers be before they need to be replaced? Is there any cure for this or do i just need to buy brand new ones?
First i thought the problem was only the follower in which the bearing had failed but it seems like both of the followers have worn a bit, the failed one a little more. Seems like this has happened to the previous owner maybe aswell... Here's a pic of the case:
