Anyone installed one of these what did you have to do? Any input would be great.

My original taillight is broken And i would say to large.

Wodonga Husaberg and a dash of orange

Ask for John at Wodonga Husaberg/KTM,
Let him know you would like the UFO taillight for your berg.
You want the Euro KTM style from 00-03 with the grooves for the wiring.
It is pre cut-out up the middle to help with our V tail.

This unit fits up with minimal effort and in MHO couldn't get much better.

Retails for about $70

There is a pic in my gallery

Yes, I have mounted one on my 02 fx470. two small holes and a heat gun to help shape it to fit.

Guys,
The pic of the tailight extender in this thread is an acerbis unit, i have tried to get it to fit and no go. I have also tryed to fit the KTM euro unit and this also does not fit without butchering it. The unit in BuggerBergs gallery appears to be a generic unit. If this is the case do you know the manafacturer and the part number? Would be very much appreciated if you could supply.

I'd like to know how bad you have to butcher the KTM tail light. On the ktm’s site, this fellow is selling LED fitted tail lights. A fellow riding friend bought one, and it's the sweetest light that I have ever seen on a woods bike. I still have the full Stock husaberg head/tail lights for my FX and I feel there very euro looking which appeals to me. I'm saving them for when the old 470 get made street legal. I wouldn’t be apposed to tiring to make that KTM LED tail light work though.

It is a UFO unit they designed for the KTM, I will check and see if I can see a number on it.

Probably best to use a heatgun to relax it a little to avoid jacking the tail up to high.

As the tail comes up, the sides come in and the left hand number plate can run a little close to the exhaust. And the loser in the plastic / Aluminium battle is the Aluminium.
