Will rollers from -03 fit a -05 FS650e?

I talked to a Husa shop today trying to order rollers for the rocker arms for my -05 650. Their response was that for the -05 you have to buy the whole rocker arm assembly for **** amount of money (like €160+€150!). Since that sucks I looked at the parts list from older models and the last one with separate roller bearings was -03 numbered 200 324-01. Will this one fit the -05 or is there a generic bearing from, say SKF that is a sweet fit? And... can you reuse the tappet? (roller axle) and re-punch it?

Cheers you all for this wealth of knowledge about our insane pieces of machinery.

I bought the bearings for my 05 at the KTM dealer. $26 each but cost me $80 to have them installed in my rocker arms (at the KTM shop)

They tig welded them in there? I wasn't expecting that at all.

A machine shop prolly could have peened the pins for less than half the price I paid.

Idle: Do you have the KTM parts number? And TIG-welding the pins sounds a bit hard core. Makes next change more difficult. I thought you punched the edge of the pins.

Hi
I'm almost sure that the 03 won't fit in the 05.
I'm almost sure that you can find only the rollers, I've bought 02's not very long ago, if not, ktm is going realy crazy !!!
I'm sure that the welding is stupid !!
Ask Taffy, he will solve this for you

I checked the KTM fiche for 2005 640 LC4 and they have separate rollers and the rocker arm assembly looks very much the same as Husa 650 -05.

Here are the KTM parts number:

KTM LC4 640 2005
58336061090 ROCKER ARM ROLLER CPL. EXHAUST
58036061090 ROCKER ARM ROLLER CPL. INTAKE

Anyone knows if they are the same as Husa?

The P/N you need is 59036061090

I have a 2005 fs650e and I replaced my cam rocker roller bearings with these. There from a 200-2002 KTM 250-520cc bikes. If you go on the website partspitstop and look up a 2002 exc520 they have the same rocker P/N's as the bergs do.

If you do a search on this forum for cam follower bearings you will find more info on this as it's already been discused

KTM rollers are ordered and hopefully here before the weekend. I hope they work.

Thanks for all the input.

59036061090

this is the correct number as helithumper says.

I trust that it is this number you ordered?

Taffy

Checking around today to see how I can replace my CFB's. No luck yet so thought I'd ask how you install them. My Jedi search skills are lacking today. I only found this, on a Katie 640 thread.

-Pin heads should have flush vith surface of rocker arm (centered to rocker arm), and roller should roll freely.
-Lubricate rollers bearing with oil.

that sounds about right. I used a press to push them out but a round punch will work to. you can use vaseline to hold the new bearing rollers in place. don't forget to bevel both sides of the new pin or else it will come out.

Piece of cake.
