It's hard not to argue for the original.
With that said I'm a big fan of the '98 to '00 FC501s also.

The 98, just like the pic cypher posted, and just like my FE501 used to look. Why only choices for 2000-2008?

The 2007 graphics look better, but the '08 is a better bike, just that little bit more refined as Goran says, suspension is plusher etc (I have both '07 & '08 FE650)

I'd be going for the '08 like Cypher posted, has timeless cool factor, just add some more recent USD forks say off a 2004 with blue leg protectors and you have a piece of cool thats 20 years old, but still gunna turn heads when its parked next to a new honda or katoom.
I allways had a 'thing' for the long 2000 - 2002 (???) exhaust silencerthat went from right at the back of the main chasis and had the carbpn end cap cover, those bikes looked and sounded dead cool, and the pipe looked serious.

Husaberg Headquarters, should look at this, so they could know what the public likes it, I mean referring to graphics¡¡
bollox, they got to be either the 04 with the new frame and the last of 640cc motor(probably the most powerfull of them all), or the 05 with the new 620cc shorter stroke motor.

From the models that can be chosen here I would prefer the 2008 models, maybe closely followed by the 2000 on 2nd place.
The 2000 was cool, rough and strong, like a real viking. But had some weak points, like the frame around the strut mount.
Technically the engine of 2008 and the shape (new tank etc) is the best Husaberg we have ever seen.
The graphics of 2007 look nice, but I really don´t like the fat tank.
What´s really a classic and very cool ist the model 89/90 up to 93.
But to be honest: every Husaberg model year has it´s own preferences.

This was the model of Berg I first rode that sold me on buying my '05 FE550, I am seriously thinking of getting rid of my ute and buying one of these older FC's.
