Who's the most local dealer to N. GA?

I seek a fix (parts) for my leaky fork seals, and was wondering if there were a dealer I could drive to somewhere near me. I'm in Atlanta, and I've got a 2000 FC501.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to mail order stuff, just trying to find an excuse to visit another dealer! :teeth:

H&H had Bergs until 2001 or 2003, who ever bought them out may still have some fork seals, I think ktm from the same year will work. Upstate in Greenville SC has a new bike, but hasn't commited to become a dealer yet.

I'm not familiar with H&H? I just moved to Atlanta this past January, though.

Which upstate dealer carries (or plans to carry) Husabergs? Is it the KTM dealer in Seneca? That place in Powdersville (Foothills?)? Something in Greenville itself? I've got 'people' in that area, they could help me.

As it stands right now it's gonna have to be mail order, as the closest dealer that I can discern is 260 miles away in NC.

I have proven myself in the recent past to be really bad at identifying parts on visual data alone: so what forks came on a 2000 FC501? It would help, if, when I go to order parts, I could actually reference the forks themselves. Are they WP 43mm? Will that doc I downloaded (4357 MX Multi Adjuster 2000) walk me thru the rebuild process? Or is that manual for another set of forks?

I'm not sure what fork it is, 43 sounds correct. H&H was the largest KTM dealer in the country for a while, Barry Higgins, past national mx champion was the owner, then sold out recently to a riding resort. Upstate Cycle is in Greenville SC, Gerald Jones owner, has lots of offroad goodies, Gas Gas, Husqvarna, and hopefully Husaberg dealer.

chief,

I wouldn't hold your breath on H&H having any parts. 8 years ago, when they still considered themselves a dealer, they had two bikes in the front, and had to special order a head gasket for a 501.

If the closest dealer you see is Smith Power Sports, they are no longer a Husaberg dealer either.

You're going to be much better off mail ordering the product you need, unfortunately.

As my drill instructor would have said, had he been a Husaberg afficianado: Son, you've got to either be tough or stupid to own a Husaberg on the east coast. Luckily for you, you're both.

thanks,
