Who makes this Berg exhaust can??

As you can see in the picture, one of the stainless exhaust can straps broke on my friend's 2000 Berg FC501.

Problem is, we thought the can was stock. But, after talking with MotoXotica, we discovered it's not a stock muffler.

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this can??

Thanks!!

Easssssssy PowerCell....

Lucky I know your style on this board....

:)

Looks VERY similar to the arrows system on my FC600 (also 2000 model).
One of my straps snapped and I just got it welded back up.
Alternatively, it wouldn't be difficult or expensive to make a new one..?

Very interesting. We did think about repairing it, but we really need the special molded heat resistant rubber insulator, as it's lost now while on the ride. It wouldn't be the same without it, hence why I kinda wanted to know who might make it......

Thanks for the idea...

I guess I can always email the pic to Arrow and see if they say anything?

That strap and rubber heat liner is used by a number of makers, Remus, Micron, Harris etc, etc. Have a look in a bike shop for any system that has one on, measure that can and if it fits order just the strap and rubber from that maker.

my 00 FC501 came with same muffler when bought new, the same muffler was on the 00 FC600 so you should be able to get strap

likewise for Barrett exhausts in Oz, you should be able to source a replacement, worst case scenario, you may have to modify it a little.

Azza.

Just go to a road bike shop that sells road and race aftermarket cans and ask for a replacement ovalized strap. Measure the circumference and measure the replacement - they're usually pretty much the same anyway.
