Which year frames fit a 07 engine?

Hi all,

I was wondering which year frames fit a 07 engine.. And is 400-450-550-650 always the same frame?

I'd expect that it'd go straight into any 04-08 and with some slight massaging of engine mounts, any older frame too.

As ever, I stand to be corrected.

I thought so too..
Problem is there's a 01 650 frame for sale but I want to be sure my 07 engine fits..

Have a look in the owners Doc. The 01 and 07 frame are very different in angles and the like, but the engine is essentialy the same. The frame for 400 through 650 is the same, the difference is in the year models.

besides the head angle change in 2004 (or 5 - i've not looked) the only real difference is the coil mounting. and the early frame has an earth wire carousel. other than that there are no real problems to overcome.
