Which muffler does '05 FS650e come with?

On page 49 of the 2005 owner's manual, the first picture shows a straight-through muffler.

The second picture shows a muffler that looks identical from the outside, but has two offset overlapping pipes.

The third diagram shows the back half of what appears to be an otherwise straight-through muffler, but it contains a spark-arrestor diffuser and chamber at the rear.

I may have answered my own question, but I'd sure appreciate confirmation.

Page 33 of the parts manual shows "FC+FS-C" as the straight-through version with a large-diameter outlet, "EU+AUS" as being the bypass version with a small-diameter outlet, and "USA" muffler as being the "SPARKY" model with a small-diameter outlet.

Is the FC muffler desireable as a performance upgrade?

I would recommend a full exhaust from Akrapovic or a similar company if you are looking for more power. I have the full Akro on my 05 FS and there is a clear difference compared to a stock exhaust (swedish stock that is). Naturally it costs a lot but there are other not-so-expensive systems out there. Check out SIL-moto for instance...

The Akra slip-on or full Evo exhaust are certainly up for consideration if I pull the trigger.

My line of thinking is that if members here have cast-off straight-through FC mufflers laying around as the result of performance upgrades, that a used straight-through FC muffler may be a cost-efficient upgrade to replace the original-equipment USA-market small outlet spark-arrestor muffler.
