Which model/yr are 50 state st. legal

I am seeing some spotty info around the web on this topic. The most reliable info I can find is that some models after 2011 were FOR SURE 50 state street legal? I live in North Carolina where the laws seem to be getting stricter by the day. I would hate to buy one and not be able to ride it........:(
 
2011 Husaberg FE570S and FS570 don't know about earlier years. have a 05 FE550E and a FE650 both are road legal kind of.......
 
My newly acquired 2010 FE390 has a bright shiny new NC Plate on it. No hassles at the tag office either.

Does anyone have any idea if a 1995 501FE is road legal in NJ? I tried the DMV legal manufacturer list but Husaberg doesn't even show up. My friend has '10 450 that is legal so I know the DMV will title/register them.
