Which handguards / axle sliders for my 2007 FS550E?

hey guys,

I was going to sell this thing and just give up racing.. But now that I had a chance to ride it around a track COMPLETELY STOCK AND UNTOUCHED and go within a second of my fastest time on my Fully setup CRF450R I think I gotta give it one more year...

Anyway, I need handguards and axle sliders if I'm going to run this thing and don't want to bother spending tons of money on stuff that doesn't fit..

Can someone tell me which parts definitely fit so and where I can order them so I can spend the money once and get this ordeal out of the way??

Thanks a lot!

Talk to Vancouver Supermoto. They have an online store, but if you don't see what you need send them an email. I deal with Annie and Mark all the time. Tell 'em I sent you.

Hey tawheed,

I got my axle sliders off ebay & they're well priced. Mick1hussy put me & Crispin onto them. Just select worldwide search & type husaberg, 3 colours to choose from & I fitted them in 10 minutes. I'm yet to organise my handguards but let us know you get on.

Cheers,
Wal

Some of the stuff Vancouver Supermoto sells is complete crap. Don't buy Zeta handguards. Get a good quality brand. Had Zeta and threw them out so did my friend. Cycra and Acerbis are both quality items. When I bought axle sliders KTM dealership had the same prices are aftermarket stuff so I just got KTM. I seem to remember a really great bunch of guys in Edmonton at Walt Healy I think is the name of the dealership????

Confused because my front axle doesn't seem hollow?

You're axle should be hollow! Double check it's not just got something blocking it up!
I got my axle sliders on ebay and they were £15 for front and rear... Not what i call expensive and they hold up to a lot of abuse too as do my Ascerbis handguards, they have the alloy bar in them and have taken a hell of a beating!!

They're the ones tawheed. You will have a small plastic bung that screws out of the hollow shaft if I recall correctly. These ones come with the threaded rod & nyloc nuts. Blue ones are more expensive than the black & white ones. I like the acerbis handguards actually with the aluminium bar in behind. I have the ktm plastic ones on my FE550 but dont think they would work on the road when I drop it.

I got a set of these hand guards, no issues to-date;

I can recommend the e-bay axel sliders too, I have a set, along with handle bar end sliders, great if you don't like mushing up the ends of your bars whenever the bike feels tired and needs a lie down....

By the way if you do order anything from the UK it's going to be very expensive for shipping and duty. Been there done that.

Forgot to say you could do with some peg sliders as well if you haven't already got them! Something else you have to have to be track legal over here!

I just went all out and got husaberg ones ! not something I'd usually do as I built the ones for my dr-z with ready rod and skateboard wheels..

Hopefully they'll be here soon!
