Am I the only one to notice a distinct lack of te250/300 information on this site?

What gives?! Does no one ride these!??

Or are they just so good no one has any problems??

Hey dude, they are great bikes for sure, a 300 2 banga would be heaps of fun I'd reckon. Problem is that they are a badge engineered KTM. Same as the 13 and 14 bikes. After '12 all the berg dna was completely sapped from the brand.

There is much love for these bikes on other forums which deal with them in their KTM guise.

I guess its a psuedo economy of scale.

yeah, I want one pretty bad ... there are some nice gas gas 300 two-strokes for sale locally from tkme to time, want to pick one up if i have the means to start collecting bikes :)

What do have bikes called Husaberg (and now Husqvarna) produced under kTM after 2012 to do with Husaberg (Husqvarna)? The best days of Husaberg were when logo in my Avatar was used = fourstroke force. The era ended in 2008.

I just picked up a new 13 TE250. I bought my FE570 new in 2011, and absolutely loved the bike for the past couple years. That is until I rode my TE250 a few times. Now I feel like I was riding a street bike in the woods the past few years. The TE250 is like a surgical weapon, it carves a line so much tighter than my 570 can. There is obviously a huge lack of low end grunt, but I went up one tooth on the rear sprocket, and put the red spring in the powervalve, now the bike has good snap down low. It still has to be ridden in the fat part of the power to really move, but its great fun keeping it on the pipe, and working the clutch again.

I understand the sentiment. But will the forum move on? (Or at least grow?) why so loyal to a brand that was shut down for dollars and cents? Surely the sport is more important than any brand?, husaberg.org will shrink as these bikes get more and more expensive to maintain.

I'm aware there are other forums, but I like this one! The attitude towards information and help on this forum is way better.

And what about "pure enduro".

what do top enduro riders use?

TWO STROKES!!

Discuss.

Well to me it would seem to me that its up to the 2smoke owners to make the effort, as 4 stroke owner I have no experience with the 2 stroke models so I wouldn't really be qualified to comment.

Thats not to say if there was some interesting ride reports or owners showing off their ride etc that I wouldn't comment, but the vast majority of posts on this board are of a technical nature.

Ever since big berg reminded me of the awesome power of an open class 2smoke I've had a hankering for another CR500 so maybe its time to find myself a nice TE 300. :D

There is nothing wrong with twostrokes, they are lightweight, powerfull, fun to ride. But there never was an intent to produce twostrokes under the Husaberg trademark. Only someone who just byus new twostroke (more or less randomly chooses the most expensive and with "Husaberg" on its stickers) and doesnt know much about the historical context, can start discussion like this. Never mind, there is nothing bad with this, just explaining. Do not take this personally. Regardless to stickers, colors of fenders, if there is a bike pretending being a husaberg, once it is twostroke, it is a KTM, not Husaberg. Yes, it is written there, also on the engine covers, but it is silly. As Husaberg focuses on fourstrokes (never dedicated one single thought to twostroke powered motrorcycle - I am talking about the original idea), this forum naturally is about fourstrokes. Husaberg = fourstroke. Someone correct me, if I am wrong, this is just how I see the situation.

fair enough too edelweiss, you cannot deny that the 09-12 bikes still carried some of that heritage though.

sure, in my first comment I am writing that husabergs are bikes until 2012, no doubt that the turned around motor was a swedish project. I also saw one picture somewhere, it was from the first presentation of the 70degree prototype, the guys from austria were gazing like owls.

sorry mate should read your post properly, I only saw the comment about 2008.
