mix of ideas

Hi Taffy. That looks like a left over Husqvarna suspension test bed. Its got the 250 WR of about 1980 and the conical brakes, rear sprocket and long forks from the XC line. That was when too many felt Husky ought to have a mono shock like the rest of the world. Might even be the rear of a Yamaha IT, made to fit. The clear view of history isn`t clear if that was the right path. The hearty Viking boy laughing below, stuck on the then new Husaberg body parts, in order to baffle all who gazed on it. Must be an almost warm frigid June day in Northern Sweden, as it isn`t dark and ice encrusted. Actually, he is probably a nuclear physicist, who soon became the chief engineer at Husaberg. He and half a dozen like him enjoyed planning meetings at the top of their lungs, while shaking beer bottles at each other. I bet the conference room table was made of dozens of crushed trophies, as Husqvarna made a point of never resting on their laurels. Tally ho,L

It nearly looks as if there should be an 'Excaliburesque' sword penetrated inside some granite or something underneath this impressive monument. Made of the finest Swedish steel naturally.....

and the winner is......Jampe!

not rocket science to a Swede but I was just making sure that you are all alive and kicking you screaming Swedes!!!!

It was my first trip to Sweden since 1975. The only thing black then was the occasional car.................................

anyone guess the; "WHY?"

sure has changed.

Taffy

Did you bought all the old Husaberg parts from them?
If so i don`t have to take a trip up there this summer ;-)
Regards Jampe

LOL!!! well there is a rumour going around.....

any Swedes available in the Laxa area in the first week of April to handball an awful lot of cargo and talk 'Husaberg' with me will be forever looked upon as a superstar! I really will need a little help!

basically, I have two extra long wheel base vans going to Laxa. 3 drivers.

it is 1,150 miles or 1,800km EACH WAY!!!!

I now have total, total, TOTAL respect for Petr and ????? who came to force rides 3 & 4 and said that they did 2,000km (because they went to Wales) each way.

I will call this 'Petr's run' in memory of a Swedish Husaberg nut, a family man and a great guy that died at what? 48 years old and left a wife and two children?

when we get to Laxa, we will help move the parts but it will provide me with a chance to makse sure i get what I paid for.... never can trust these sneeky Swede's.........LOL!!!

Taffy
can't wait for page 1 to finish...I hate this wide screen.

LOL...this many!

I shouldn't say this because half the parts could go walk but for a real Bergie fanatic, hgandling new goods not seen for many, many years would be enough to say that the day was worth it!

I think I will be working until I am 75 to sell everything.... (3 more years then!)

Taffy

there was that much stuff i couldn't see half of what i have bought. But you needn't worry about decals for a while!

If I'm free from work and other unexpected duties I might show up. Would be interesting to see what you found. And it's fun to help a husaberg-nut.

anyone going to the Classic Dirt Bike Show this weekend at Telford?

'Steve' from Australia is going to be there! I know it's a long way to come but when you insist on the correct carburettor drain nut washer there is only one thing to do...come and get it yourself right!

Taffy

well, I'm off back to Sweden in the morning. sort all the parts out and pallet box them ready!

I'm going to get a TIR in to collect the stuff, not driving after all. we couldn't get the big vans abroad on hire because they can't be recovered. small vans equals less payload and drivers cost money!

the TRAILER alone will be put on the ship at Gothenburg and another one at this end will collect the trailer.

and before you ask....NOTHING BEFORE EASTER FOR SURE!!!!

Taffy
