Where to run the fuel lines? FS650E

Getting my tank back on my FS650 and trying to run the fuel lines back to the petcock. Cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to run these lines so they stay away from the exhuast and dont melt, and in a way that they will actually connect back to the petcocks without any kinks. Also I'm assuming I need to slightly heat up the ends to slip them tightly back onto the petcocks?

Last thing first... i use a little saliva on the rubber tube to help it slip on.... if ya guna heat it then dont use a lighter....
As for the fuel lines... I lengthened them to put a loop into them (husabergs "minamilistic' aproach is not good on fuel lines) to always be able to reterminate or have some spare and more important.... add a fuel filter to the system.
I will check tonight to remind me of how I ran them as i think there was a reversal or a change to the Y section to get it to work tidy.

I'll take a pic when I get home.. About 2-3 hous and it should be up. Too hard to esplain.

I also have a filter under the rubber airbox boot.

First pic shows how I tied up the fuel inlet to keep it from getting close to the pipe. It's not really necessary on a 650, but on a 550 it's much closer. 450's would be closer yet, and routing it around the front would be a better idea.

This is an 06' tank and has a bit different angle on the left side fuel tap. You can see the fuel filter in this pic under the boot.
Pay no mind to the "clear" hose. It's a vent coming up from the catch can to the top of the frame. Also, excuse the oily mess, (breather issues.)

The right side fuel line plugs into the end opposite of where the left side plugs in.

A short piece of line off the perpendicular part of the T goes to an inline filter, then another piece to the carb inlet shown in the first pic.

I put a very little bit of grease on the barb end of the petcock, to make fuel line removal a little easier.
