I have a 2005 fs650e i bought in from a store in sydney australia, i live in adelaide.
(i bought the second to last 05 berg left in aus in early 07)
I have a few issues i want to be addressed by husaberg but i have no local dealler in adelaide and john whom i bought the bike from in sydney still has not responded to my emails after 1 month.
who do i call, what should i do?
I have tried calling the local ktm stores but they cant help me....
I have kept to the maintenance schedule, even changing my oil every 3-5 hours and i only street the thing it has never seen a track. I feel entitled to my warranty.
off course it has a weeping water pump seal.
the clutch has not been right from day one it does not dis-engage 100% eg. if i dont use neutral at lights it over heats, with the clutch in it crawls forward and if you try and start it with the clutch in in gear it lurches forward. (the clutch plates have been inspected already at my cost for damage and there is none)
the electric leg started making a whining noise a few months ago and now does not work at all.
id like all these issues addressed.
who should i speak too?

Try getting in touch with Jihn Prior at Orange KTM in NSW his nickname on here is ORANGEBERG he knows all things berg and i am sure he would be willing to help you out with husaberg and their warranty.
Regars pids

Ring Berg Australia Directly mate thats the best way to deal with it. Let them know your dealer and bike situation and see what they can do for you. Let me know how you go I may be of some assistance to you if need be.

it sounds like you may have purchased your bike from Highway Performance Bikes in Sydney, John has now left that business you need to talk to Bob the owner 02 95990011, he would be unaware of the sale as he was the workshop manager at the time.
You have a dealer in Keith SA called Caldecotts 08 87553233 who can help with warranty issues.
To discuss your problems you best call me John @ Orange KTM Husaberg
( aka ORANGEBERG ) 02 63603800.but quickly, no warranty will fix the oil leak without our fix kit installed, you may have a warped metal clutch drive plate causing the excessive drag or poorly adjusted hyd clutch but be aware they all drag a bit, your overheating can be cured with a thermo fan and Husaberg have one in kit form to bolt straight on $280. Your bike is designed to have air flowing constantly through its radiator for cooling and will overheat when sitting idling at stoplights.
We fix 99.9% of customers problems Australia / World wide give us a call.

RE: Re: where to go for my warranty

thanks faktor :)
thanks orangeberg :)
I have spoken to the guy at keith, he did not order any bikes this last year so is still in the loop but not an official dealer he said.
im about to call back husaberg aus. again today, I might give you a quick call first.
arnt the fans only suitable for 06> bikes? i thought the 05 tanks were the wrong shape, not enough room for the fan to fit....

RE: Re: where to go for my warranty

I have spoken to Craig Brown from husaberg aus. a couple times now over the last few days.
He has organized for me to be able to take the bike to my local preferred ktm dealer (gp motorcycles) for the guys there to have a look and handle the work.
So....... so far all is good (except waiting a month to hear back from john who doesn't work at highway performance any more..... my fault) and i couldn't really expect any more from husaberg aus. :D

Yes it is good to see Husaberg Australia come to the party.
I also chased around for a serious warranty claim and with one phone call with Craig things started to happen. My advise to anyone with a warranty claim is to ring Husaberg Australia direct and get it sorted, don't be a nice guy and wait for 5 weeks like I did.
Also if you are not happy with your dealer go to Orange Husaberg, they will get the bike fixed in no time
