I am a 200lb rider... pretty much out of adjustment on forks I think heavier springs are the answer. Anyone know where I can get these? -- For Hare Scramble setup

I already have a heavier shock for a 200lb rider for Hare Scramble setup... just need the fronts now.

Factory Connection (see the web links section)

Are they WP 50mm Extreme Forks? (Conventional not upside down)

only americans say they weigh 200LB. i weigh 200lbs but it's more commonly known as 14 stone 4.

the default setting for the site even though less than 50% of current members are from the USA is for those from over the pond ta think we just know this......

not a problem. different spelling, use of words, pounds over KGs and inches over CM are the usual give away!!!!

I am near Pittsburgh, PA in the U.S.

I guess it would have made more sense to convert. There probably are more people on here from Europe than the U.S. Anyways I'll try that site... Yes they are the conventional ones. My brother's KTM 380sx supposedly has the same forks and he installed heavier springs. It handles the G-outs and table-tops much better than the berg, but i'll fix that :)

Perhaps grasstrackpete can ship you some. I was not able to find a source for springs off the shelf anywhere in the U.S.

Factory Connection can have them made at a pricey $175.00 in any rate that you want.

Take the upper cap off and pull the fork tube down and see if yours have the black three inch spacer at the top of the spring.

I am not exactly sure why some forks have this spacer with shorter springs and some do not but have longer springs.

It may be that the early forks had the longer springs or it may be that the softer springs don't have the spacer.

When I had "48's" made for me by Factory Connection I received the shorter springs. Luckily I had two sets of these forks and one had the necessary spacers for the shorter springs.

There doesn't seem to be any way to tell what rate your stock springs are as there are no markings on them. Others on this site have stated that "42" is the stock spring rate but I feel that my bike was even softer than that, although I have no way to know for sure.
