where is the oil drain plug on my 05 450 fe? lost my owners manual while moving.... on the right side?? left side??? really want to start doing my own maint. on her.... 2 plugs by the rear brake? where is it ?

13mm hex nut, black in color.
You can also remove both and see which one releases some type of dark sticky liquid.

dont see a black hex bolt anywhere on the engine.... and now its frikkin raining... will try again in the morning if some help comes my way....

just to be sure.. 2 bolts side by side next to the rear brake..one looks like it has a washer , the other does not.. i know its probably not a washer , but it looks like it has one....
Yup, it is black on the 01. They changed the color, hmmm.... Probably to use a KTM part.
Did not mean to be sarcastic, but if you undo one, you have 50% changes to drain the oil and 50% to do nothing specifically bad.

Open the PDF file, go to page 54. The one on the left is the oil drain, the one on the right gives access to the filter.

One's a magnetic plug and the other holds the oil screen.
Personally I'd take them both out on uypour model but since mines an 03 it only has 1.

Take note as to which way the oil screen comes out. One end is larger than the other and it should only go in one way.

mine was easy to find! someone had painted it red,as well as the filter cover!! if in doubt undo anything...it will be like a world of mechanical discovery and a giggle to boot!
