Well, we've got one of our dates nailed down! At least on our side of things. (grin)
The wife broke her arm and was unable to accompany me on the 2009 VFRD Summer Rally over in Silverton, Colorado. Which was a total hoot with all the great roads there. (Mt. Evans, Rocky Mt. Park, etc.)

So we're finally getting to do her "make-up" ride! We're launching out of Portland, OR on August 12 .. winding our sportbikes through Stanley, Sun Valley, and Salmon, ID .. then across to Devil's Tower and Mt. Rushmore .. and then swinging down through Colorado for more curves before getting back to Portland sometime before Sept. 5.

Give me a few days to do laundry and load up and then I'll be game for riding the dirty bikes in Colorado with you guys!

It looks like I can make anytime from Sept 10th and on. Just let me know the dates!

Cheers! E-Ticket

i know there has been talk of all getting into the resort owned by fritz's mate.

when would he have to know definetly.

so far there hasn't been very many votes cast but at some point the decision is going to have to be made.

At the moment 15-18th sept is way in the lead. Suits me, Birthday is the 15th.

Okay,

Unless anyone has any strong objections........................

The date for FR 4 is September 15th-18th!

Let's get the accommodations set, and start working on the rides for each day!

Cool! We're in!

My wife is coming so we'll be needing a room (no rv, car and trailer).

Woo-hoo!! I am really looking forward to meeting and riding with everyone! Cheers, E-Ticket

Do you guys mind if Dad and I join you again this year. We had a great time at the last ride.
Thanks,
Tod

You are kidding right???? The day you hosted us was one of the best days of the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ride over to Aspen for lunch, then Camp fire cookout by the lake, and tons of bench racing around the fire. Nobody wanted to go home that night.

We would be diminished if you were not with us this year!

Hey maybe this time I will actually hit your Dad instead of flinging myself off the trail trying to avoid him LOL!!!

Well, alrighty then ... we got some dates!

Now, do we know the "where?" - ET

the 'where' was sorted long before the 'when'...
...Gunnison.

or so i believe

So the 15th is a Thursday and the 18th is Sunday. How many and what days will be riding days?

all of them.

plus if you get there a day early or stay a few days late even more if you can manage them.

i only jibbed in the afternoon of the 4th day when i gave in to my injuries

Anyone made reservations yet?

The exact location has not been determined yet. We may not know for awhile yet. We are still weighing our options. What you can count on are the dates and primary location (Gunnison/Crested Butte CO.)

In the near future we will be introducing the F4 logistics committee. For the time being I will be taking the lead.If there are any specific questions or concerns I will do my best to address them. You can either post your questions or PM me.

I will try to get a poll up to see what kind of accommodations are required (camping,RV space, cabin, rooms etc..). This will play a major part in where we will stay. The biggest problem with F3 logistically speaking was finding a place that had all of the above in ample quantities.

thanks for stepping up to the plate. its the work that guys like you do that allows skaters like me to survive.
my 2 cents....i think harmels looked good and fritz said rv parking is real close to it.

i dont think you'll find anything like fr1 and fr2, and i think this is as good as its gonna get.
the cool thing about fr1&2 was we kinda took over the place.
'the enemy of good is perfect'

i'd like to book early so i'm anxious to get the site finalized.
whats your take on this suggestion?????

tuts
