Whats this oil leak all about?

Picked up a used 08 550 yesterday with 3 hours on it.

Went for a quick blast to find out oil was leaking out of a hole missing a bolt

You cant quite see from the pick but on the rocker cover side there is a Allen bolt missing, same as what you can see on the other side

seems strange but not really an issue i suppose

put one back in it, its a 5 mm x 8mm long. and a flat washer. it goes thru the cap into the rocker shaft. don't go way overboard tightening it down.

pull the other one out. look at it. get another one like it. fit it.

job done!

I'll bet its missing because the PO stripped the threads in the head!

I hope I am wrong!

It can be repaired if they are stripped.

not trying to pick fault or anything, but in the picture it looks like the decomp lever isnt sitting all the way home on the stop? it will just be adjustment on the cable if so, or am i talking cr*p again.
