In the process of looking for a bike for my GF I found a new Husaberg dealer in my area.
They are blowing out some bikes at cost I guess just to get their name out there. I was pretty excited at first because it was a smoking deal, but when I put some thought behind it and looked at who was selling them I changed my mind.
They are a very big motorcycle shop, you might even call them a wholesaler. Volume is where they make the money. In this case I wonder where the people who buy the blow out Bergs are going to get their service. I know as a first time Berg owner I had lots of little problems and worries and it was very nice to have the small shop, long time Berg riders and owners to back me up.
Husaberg is getting more maintream now due to KTM and the new models taking alot of press. Whats the future. I mean sure I want Husaberg to be sucessful and profitable but at what cost? I like the small shop, exclusive non maintream scene. I also realised I am more than willing to pay the extra $500 to support the small shop where I bought my first bike, because God knows they have put that much time in with phone calls and emails.
