Hi all not new to the site but new to posting. I have a 2005 Husaberg fe501 elduro according to the log book. I have checked as much as I can on the many informative threads but the only thing I have found is check the engine number my bike doesn’t have one. Any help would be very appreciated.

Check your frame model year here Husaberg Model Years and Engine Numbers | Husaberg Wiki

There were not too many changes between a 04 and 05. Only a few 501's were built in 04 and most of them as the "Force Edition". There were no 501's built in 05 (as far as I know).

Just from your one avatar picture it appears to be a 04 based on the exhaust header pipes. They stuck out too far and would contact the front wheel on the dirt models. If you complained to your Husaberg dealer they would provide you with a set of 05 header pipes as they became available, which were tucked in closer to the frame.

Many thanks for the swift reply I will check that out and hopefully get the answers.:)

Hi Husa8160,

on older engines, until 2003, you'll find the engine number on the right (pic attached), and on 2004+ models, the number is engraved on the left side of the engine case.

Your profile pic looks like 2004+ engine with a 2002/2003 exhaust! That's what husabutt already mentioned.

Regards,
EDE
