What year fe 450s are the same?

Sorry for the noob question, but I was wondering which years the plastic is the same. Specifically, how many other years are the same as a 2005 model? Will plastics from a 2007 model fit the 2005?

Front and rear fenders 00-08. Tank and tank spoilers 01-03. 04-06. 06-08.
The big change came in 06. They changed the tank and spoilers so you could add a cooling fan.
Displacement does not concern plastics.

I'd like to disagree a little and say that all plastic (and seats) 00-08 fit all models 00-08. The only thing to keep in mind is to use the apropriate shrouds for the tank you want (or the other way around if you are more interested in the shrouds).

Exactly. The newer style tank and shrouds bolt right up to the 00-05 bikes. It is a worthy upgrade even without a fan, because the design of the new tank and shrouds allows MUCH better airflow through the radiator.
