I can see the smoke from your forge from here, no wait; thats just the smoke shooting from your ***. That there are other people developing their own bikes burns doesn't it?

What part of "By popular request I put together a few Jet Kits" are you having trouble with my unidentified foe?

PS
Hey smart guy, the forging process does not necessarily require fire. 8O

Sorry that was a little rude but like a good "sit" it had to come out. I uderstand that knowledge is money(why else would people pay for it) and investments of time=knowledge. I might even buy Dales kit, who knows. I was just put off by the attitude that "I've already done it so anyone else who tries to do it is a fool".

I know, I just couldn't think of any smartass hammer comments, and it was pretty good.

I appreciate your understanding.

All things considered aren't there better things out there, like why Bergs are better than ducatis? Can't we all just get along?

Truth be told, probably not. However, we can remain civil to one another.

Well whats to stop me from buying a kit and posting the componets here. Nothing but my respect for other peoples efforts.

Guys,

In an effort to be really fair about this, I'm going to ask that if you're not posting a response to STG's original thread, or a post that directly relates to it, please continue your discussions via PM's.

Regardless of your motivations, it's not nice to hijack a forum thread. Everyone has differences of opinions, and they often get posted to the forum, and that's fine. To spread it out over the course of two pages is taking it too far.

I respectfully request that you honor the original poster's wishes and keep the thread on-topic.

thanks,
json

If you had taken the time to research this topic you would realize the metering rod I use is not a readily available item.

However, You do have options.

Examples:

Option #1:
Duplicate said metering rod in vast quantities using the latest in screw machine technology, however, expect to retail a minimum of 500 if breaking even is your objective.

Option #2:
Find alternative settings you are happy with using over the counter products.

Option #3:
Do as I do and make each metering rod from a piece of .250" Brass round stock.

Option #4
Buy a kit.

As Patrick stated in an earlier post:
"This motorcycle engine tuning business, Husaberg or otherwise, is really not some deep dark art best left to mysterious engine wizards in their distant dyno castles".
