What octane rating for FE570? Change with mapping?

I looked in the owner's manual and could find no mention of octane or what fuel to use.

So - what is the official recommendation?

A related question - if you have to run lower octane than recommended, will any of the mapping positions be better than others.

I ask this in case I am ever in the situation where I cannot get "high" octane fuel.

I usually fill both my bikes with whatever comes from the 'super' or 'premium' spigot. Yes, I know - high octane fuel does not make more HP - it actually makes less. The purpose being to ****** flame propagation at higher compression ratios and to prevent detonation/pre-ignition. I assume that since this is a high compression engine (11.8:1), that it would require high octane fuel.

Thanks.

I found it:

Super unleaded (ROZ 95 / RON 95 / PON 91)

and

– DINEN228(ROZ95/RON95/PON91)

Super unleaded (ROZ 95 / RON 95 / PON 91)

That leaves the question of the mapping switch.

As low octane as possible is better because it burns faster and gives more hp, if we talk regular gas.. then you can find improvment with some race gases but it will cost you much.. on our tuned bikes we run Shell V-power mostly because it produces the same octane evrey time.

I think that the soft or traction ignition map would be the best for times when you are forced to run on lower octane than optimal.

Reason being is that ignition advance is ******** on this map to make the motor more mild which would also be better for running on lower octane fuel as the spark is delayed some. This would reduce chances of detonation as the spark event comes later and thus the piston would be closer to TDC and thus less vulnerable to knocking on the cylinder wall.
