It is feasible? Would building a 628cc with injection (and other small improvements I don't know) have buyers? Would KTM allow it?

In fact, if it had been driveable at 18, it would have sold in an extraordinary way, many newly licensed drivers spend a lot of money on heavy motorcycles and with only 34kw

It would be cool to see but so many small manufacturers getting bought out or going under it would tough to pull off.

A fuel injected Berg is already in existence.
FP Engineering made the first prototype in 2008 or 2009.
Nowadays you can buy the whole kit for 1500€+

Check out this site: FP-Engineering GmbH Fahrzeugtechnik - Einspritzanlage Husaberg bis 2008
And follow him on instagram. He posted a clip of a modified Berg on the dyno last week

I thought of the 628 model because now there is no such bike: legal mx weight with great performance. I said the injection because I believe it is mandatory for recent emissions laws

I have a fuel injected 610 its a beast.

Next up from this is 660cc. I could only imagine!

Somebody should buy the rights to the 70* motor and put it back into production.

I made a 666cc engine 4 years ago that was all on the stroke and if I'd have gone to 102mm bore I would have had the same bore and stroke as the 701 engine.

Menno de Jong raced 701s three years ago around a road race track and stuck with 701s because the Husaberg is so light. the engine weighs 26Kg compared to 44Kg so it only has to produce within like 15bhp and it will be even on everything except prolonged top speed.

the Husaberg is still a phenominal engine. even DOHC isn't really needed! for the stroke, the Husaberg valve gear is safe all the way up to your rev max capability.

bore your carb out to 44mm, get a 4" stack on it, my jetting kit and go!

regards

Taffy
