What forks are these?

It's a 2002 FE501. Turns out, it has 48mm forks on it instead of 43mm. The axle is the small size 20mm like a 2002 bike should have. What's going on here?

The very first 48mm forks that WP produced had 20mm axles. This was in 2002. I know for sure the 2002 KTM SX four strokes had this set up as well. I think your 2002 Husaberg has the correct forks.

I assumed that because the 02 EXCs had 43s so would the 02 FEs.
