What exhaust is this? (Picture) 2003 Husaberg FE650

Hey!
I recently bought a 2003 Husaberg FE650. The stock exhaust on it is in pretty bad shape, loose, rattly and very leaky. I'm fairly new to tinkering with bikes, started last year with an old Honda CR250R two stroke and it now I'm hooked... I got another exhaust pipe and muffler with it that the previous owner got when he
bought it but never changed. Problem I found was it needs different headers as those didn't come with it, can anyone tell me what pipe this is?

looks like a 2004 but without the headers I can't tell whether it is 450, 550 or 650!

you can make it fit but you need the 2004 650 headers I believe?

It is a 05-08 exhaust. The 04 is a bit different. Without the headers i can't tell if it is a 450-550-650.
 
Ah, I thought it looked stock but different. It's got an Keihin FCR on it as well so I'm guessing the owner before the one I bought it from did some upgrades but never finished them, carb is installed with a piece of pipe as an adaptation to the rubber boot. Gonna rejet and give that some more attention. Back to the headers, this one doesn't line up with my 650 headers, at least an inch off. I'm guessing this muffler won't perform well on my 650 if it's from a smaller bore? Or is it enough to find a header that fits?
 
the difference depends on whether its an fc, fs, or fe. FS was straight through, fe has a kink inside (sounds better but more restrictive). As previously mentioned, will hook up fine if you have the correct headers.

Time to find some headers to test with then! Expect many more questions in time, this forum seems to be the go-to! :)
 
My headers are 2003 and don't fit this midsection, perhaps easiest get this muffler on my 2003 midsection that I have a header for?
