What engine other than husaberg will fit my frame husaberg 400 2001

Hi guys

My engine is unrepairable and was wondered what engine other than husaberg will fit my frame husaberg fe 400cc 2001.

Uhm ktm 660 maybe ....there was a guy on here with the can am 450 on the husaberg 570....there is a lot of work and might be not money worth it

The problem you have is that most engine are left side chain ...swingarm would have to change in that case

Have a look at some old husquarna wr 250 2 stroke like 2005 year

if you stick to anything from 2001-2003 you'll be fine. 400,470, 501, 550 and 650.
all that varies is that
400 headers are only for the 400.
ignition module is just for the 400 and maybe the 470.
the 400 has a 38mm dell orto while ALL the others have a 40mm dell orto.

it would start and run 'ok' with the wrong I.M and jetting but the headers must be changed oif going to any of the engines mentioned. the 470 needs them even though your pipes would fit but it needs them because the engine would be emasculated.
