hi there

i have decided to make my bike day time only. so i only need a horn and the speedo. i am trying to find out what electrics i can get rid of. the bike has electric start but i dont use it as its crap. can the starter wires and motor be removed or does the bike need thenj for normal running. all the lighting cables have been stripped all ready. as little complecation or electircs as possible.

First off all, what year and what type Husaberg??

Mine is a 2002 650, took all the starter and battery crap off. Bike doesn't need any of the electrical stuff to run (except offcourse wires from stator to CDI).

If you still want to use electrical stuff, make sure to put in the regulator/rectifier. They change the current from AC to DC and do not let more than 12V into the system. I tried without these, but as soon as I started the bike, the bulbs blew.

i removed my indicators all starter gear and alot of crappy wire that wasnt needed behind the headlight.fitted a small battery up under the seat just so the lights work at night if i stop somewere.if you need some pics i can send em 2mora.just pm me or sumin

i removed the starter system, battery, solenoid and the two wires to it. i waited for the bike to blow up but nothing happened. so i now have a direct running bike with tail and headlight. i could remove them as well and it really would be right down to nowt!

regards

Taffy
