What bike is this? and what is it for?

Hey guys! i found this husaberg on a local dealership and im looking for something to use as a dualsport bike would this bike do the trick? it was imported from the usa but the clerk doesnt really know the specs of the bike apart from it being a 500cc husaberg! could someone identify the model and the year?

Looks like two exhaust pipes coming out of the head. That'd be pre 2012. Need side pictures. Vin number and engine number. Likely not 500.

Its a 1999 FE kick start model. 600cc possibly. I would say no go for long trips as it is not counterbalanced, like the electric start models were, and will vibrate a bit.

They tend to burn a lot of oil and only hold a quart. You would need to bring extra oil and top it off occasionally.

I think it is better suited for 1-3 hour blasts around the desert in Mexico. The 99 model was the last of the lineage for the first generation frame and handled O.K.

Someone did a breather mod to this bike as evidenced by the large rubber hose crossing over in front of the fuel tank.

Buy it because its a cool old Husaberg but don't buy it for long trips.
