Hello everyone I' m new to site. Thinking about new berg now ride 08 RMZ offroad KTM in past.I ride single track in east some hs racing with son.How will the new bergs feel diffrent in handling and power delivery? Thanks for your input.

If you like riding trails with an MX bike then stick to the FX. That bike is closer to the setup on your RM than the FE is.

i have an 09 fe570 i raced on the ice last winter.when spring came i rolled her into the trail, single track, pits and whellies down the road and to date was the nicest dirt bike i've ever owned.i just bought a 2010 fe390 and i must say it feels like a mountain bike with a motor in it.going up pit walls the bike gets better traction than the 570.the 390 just rules the single track hands down as well.i had a rmz450 and a couple of yz250f's and the ride was always twichy.too tight for rocks and roots.the fe suspension once used to will be your new best friend.a two year inspecton sticker doesn't hurt either

I race an FX450 2010 offroad in hare scrambles and enduros. Love the bike. I find myself using the soft setting on the MAP switch. I call it the traction setting, it's definitely not soft. I would not compare the FX to any motocross bike offroad. The FX is just like my KTM XC's I used to ride. I like the twin chamber forks on the FX and the transmission ratio's work perfect for me. I'm going much faster this year than last year on my KTM 450 XC. Even the guys I race against are commenting on it. All the people I let ride the FX love it!!!

HI badfast396, I can tell you that if you had an RMZ you would probably like the 570, the only things I've found lacking in the bike are poor fuel filtration and the seat foam and rear sprocket ( get a stealth ) are too soft. Also too soft is the rear spring which you'll have to replace straight away if you weigh over 70 kgs. Other than that they're the sweetest ride at the minute, more comfortable and better manners than an MX bike, got more midrange grunt than a CRF :D

Thanks for input still have rmz 450 susp. been valved for offroad work .Im a vet 40 b rider ,Will it handle a lot diffent than rmz. There are none close to ride .Thats why i ask so many questions. You guys keep talking and I will go hunt for one if I think it will let me aggervate the young boys a little more.
