Wer Steering Damper 09 FE

I have a Wer damper that was mounted on my KTM 450 EXC, that I'd like to fit on a new FE, it had been modified to fit upside down behind the headlight as apposed to sitting out over the front gard as per factory instructions.
Has anyone installed a Wer damper in a similar manner on a 450 570 FE 09, and if so is it possible to still retain the speedo in its origional position.

dont know i took my msr damper of my 04 ktm and with two washers under the dust cap and a bit of diegriending on the clamp works fine just harder to see the speedo hope it helps mate
 
I know this is a old thread, but hiw did you get on, i have WER stablizer on my 08 fe450 i have just bought. As you already had this part can you please give me some tips on tuning it, like how to lol?
