For all you World Enduro fans out there, just heard that Canada will host the first of two North American rounds on July 15/16 in Parry Sound Ontario. The US round will be the next weekend, rumoured to be in New York, but that is rumour and not substantiated.

This is very exciting news for many who don't normally get a chance to see some of the worlds best.

TM-enduro are you game??????

Great to see it get out of Europe :D :D

I have the 04 WEC DVD and it is enthralling 8O

It would be fun to go watch, a couple of guys I ride with were talking about making the trek and hitting both rounds. The rules for WEC are very strict about qualifying to enter nowdays. The chances of getting an entry is slim, unless I get in on the vet class (40 & over). I thought that this was a done deal, and was on for sure.

My news is old, as you indicated. My rumour of NY is true. I had heard about it last summer, but took it at the time to be idle benchracing. It certainly seems to be in the works though.

I hope that you are able to compete if you intend to do so. I'm not at all sure on how the selection process will take place up here, but I imagine Canada will be alotted some starting positions.

take care

I would assume that because you are currently a Canadian ISDE team member, you should be alloted an entry position. My credentials are getting kind of old. I will keep you posted. If I can make it, but don't ride, I would gladly offer up my services to help a fellow 'berger as pit crew. BTW, I got the 470 back together this weekend, boy did it feel good to twist that grip and lunge forward.

Thank you very much for the offer, and I might take you up on it. Its an excellent opportunity having the WEC here for a number of reasons. It is just easy for us to compete in World event, although the Euro spectators, to me,are a big part of it. There is nothing like the old and young alike watching you shred a grass track!! More importantly, have the WEC here, gives potential sponsors the exposure they need to support guys who want to ride these events. It is widely known that US motorcycle distributors keep their money on the continent simply because they get very little return on investment on money spent in Europe.

So, yes it makes me happy to be able to ride 2 events in 10 days and likely less than half the cost of 6 days. But it might come out of my 6 day fund!!!! But having the WEC might mean the top US guys might actually compete :) :) , which brings out the sponsors etc the ball begins to really roll.

As you can see I'm really excited about it!!!

You need to ride Idaho City and get placed amoung the other guys in your class!!!

Do I need to challenge you for a little motivation??!!!???!!???

See you at the start line!!!!
