The WEC is about to start again and I think that Husaberg has as strong a line up as its had for year. The new bike might not be to everyone on this forum's taste but I think we'd have to agree it is certainly more competitive at the top level than the old bike.

Joakim Ljunggren- lead rider will do well this year, I predict third in class E2 and a couple of day wins.
Valtteri Salonen- will shoe some flashes of speed but not quite consistant enough.
Björne Carlsson- unfortunately will struggle a little as the big guns come back to the E3 class (Knight Cervantes Aro) and the emergence of youngsters like Nambontin.

Oriol Mena- I hope this will prove correct as I predict that he will be EJ world champion this year.

So another Husaberg world champion this year?
Certainly I think the brands profile will increase dramatically.
Less of the Husaberg what's one of those? (even from fellow riders). No it's not a Husky!!

What do you think?

Jocke and Björne have both been down in Spain training a lot this winter. They came home and raced in the first round of the SEC and Jocke won with Björne second. I think we will see great things this year...
Also don't forget Tom Sagar and Mike Hartman.

that truck is on the wrong side of the Atlantic..will it fit over there????? I heard there was a monster trailer, largest one in the WEC..it will be the envy of all and the dream for the young.

wow that is some truck

think they will lend it to us for the Safari rallye & Dakar '10 ???

Look out for Mena, he will be a major force now and in the future.

We all knew that the new breed of bikes would raise the bar. The higher ups at KTM corp obviously have made a major strategic decision with putting big bucks behind the team ofr this year and picking up "local fast guys" all over the globe. This has to be done in good faith as a marketing direction since they could not hav made enough profit off the bikes sold for 2009 to fund all this.

Just found this, Gallery, http://mototribu.com/competition/enduro/2009/enduro/divers/husa_testride/wallpaper/index.html

Team Husaberg is in running order at the beginning of this season 2009. 4 new pilots have strengthened the team in the off-season. Thomas Gustavsson legendary founder Husaberg can be proud of him. Not only has it revolutionized mechanics in his team with creating a new position of engine revolution in the context but also this new bike is selling very well!

"I am very pleased with the new structure of the Team which will allow Husaberg crossing a landing. Because of the very good sales of the bike we can invest further in the competition and the new team is very promising."

With 6 podiums in 2008 Husaberg Team aims to do much better in 2009.

E1 in the last year as drivers will be Joakim Ljunggren of Sweden and Valtteri Salonen of Finland on the FE450.

As E3 is still Gjörne Carlsson who will defend the colors of Husaberg in one of the most recorded on a FE570. Top 5 Goal!

Continuing a policy of training instead of recruiting stars in gold prices Husaberg recruited two juniors. Spanish Oriol Mena, second last year in his class and champion of Spain on Husaberg and Swedish Cale Sjöö.

Finally piot other 2 will be supported by global Husaberg: English Tom Saggar in E3 and the German Mike Hartmann E2 that have respectively 8 and 9th in E1 in 2008.

Hey Gazza, you can only ask about the truck ! might have to stick some airbags under it though with those Kimberley roads. Gunna be keeping a close eye on the WEC this year with the Bergs set to shine.

That Husaberg truck is awesome! If trucks could win races just by looking the biz I think we've already won.

Best of luck to the Husaberg team riders in 09 season.
