Hi!
Bike: 2007 FS650-e supermotard
When the season ended here in Norway:cold: I decided to open the clutch cover to check if some parts needed to be replaced, as there had been some whining-noises while riding. There had also been a high-pitched noise while accelrating fast from a complete stop. Seemed like the clutch was slipping a little bit. If you would try to do a burnout it would for sure make this noice before the rear wheel starts to slip.
When changing oil I've found some small metal parts on the drain plug. (not the regular stuff but small chunks of metal. I can check if I can find a picture of the pieces somewhere if that helps) A friend told me that those pieces might come from the stepped washer/disc that are cut in half, and sits between the inner clutch hub and the outer clutch hub.
Enough talk, my question is: Do I have to replace the clutch disks, or the inner hub, or the preassure clutch? Or all of them?:signsigh:
This is how the inner clutch hub looks
And this is how the Preassure cap looks:unsure:
Also, here you can see what the intermediate discs looks like. The one to the left is the one that have been in contact with the inner clutch hub..:furious:
(high resolution versons of the pictures: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vkp6kbjwwsmr0hg/AAC3MCsrW4PRPw5poafh85G3a?dl=0)
Really happy for any advice I can get!
